RUSSELL CROWE`S INDOOR GARDEN PARTY

The Oscar and Golden Globe winner, known worldwide for his role in Gladiator, is coming to Zurich with something far from a standard concert. On 22 June 2027 at 19:30, Russell Crowe will take the stage of Theater 11 with Indoor Garden Party, his European tour show, joined by his band The Gentlemen Barbers. It is the first time the actor and musician performs in the city.

Crowe has said that he has spent thirty years in film, yet forty years playing music with a band in the evenings. For him, cinema is a craft, while music is his own territory, and the show is built around that second life. The evening is not only about songs. Between numbers he tells stories, jokes with the audience and shares memories from behind the scenes of Hollywood, all in the familiar baritone that cinema audiences know from the screen.

The music itself travels widely. The programme moves from melancholic Irish folk through gospel and stern country ballads to heavy blues and stadium rock. The Gentlemen Barbers are the result of four years of work on the project, and several of the musicians have played alongside Crowe for decades. Vocals are shared with the Irish singer Lorraine O’Reilly, whose husky, energetic voice adds another colour to the sound.

Crowe’s road to film began with music: first bands, tours and records, then musicals, where a director noticed him and invited him to cinema. Since then he has collected more than 40 international awards, but on this tour he returns to where it all started. The concert is held in English without translation.
